Dear Swiss Kids in Hong Kong!
Get ready for an exciting autumn workshop brought to you by the Swiss School Committee. After the long summer break, it's time to dive into the captivating world of art and circus fun. During the workshop, you will unleash your creativity as you explore the artwork of the renowned artist Rolf Knie and you will craft your own circus-themed masterpiece. You will have the chance to participate in circus-related activities while enjoying Swiss snacks and drinks during the break. We can't wait to explore the Swiss Art of Circus with you!
Dear Parents!
This unique workshop is led by experienced Swiss Teachers and welcomes Swiss children aged 5-12 years, regardless of which school they attend in Hong Kong. The workshop will be held at FIS (French International School) at the Jardine’s Lookout Campus.
The Swiss School Committee is helping to subsidize this workshop. SAHK member kids can attend for free, while non-member kids will be charged HKD 250.-. However, if you are a Non-Member and sign up for a SAHK annual membership (HKD 450.- per family and calendar year) your child/children can attend this workshop and the coming workshops for free.
Programme:
2:50pm | Meeting at FIS – Primary Building Entrance
A representative from the Swiss School Committee and a Swiss Teacher will welcome the children at the entrance and escort them to the respective classroom. Parents can drop off their children and enjoy some free time, or they can bring along something to read and enjoy a coffee in the meantime at a dedicated area of the campus. Kindly note that we will work without parents during the official workshop hours.
3:00pm | Workshop Starts
We learn interesting facts about the artist Rolf Knie and the circus in Switzerland. We discover some of his artworks and teach you a unique technique on how to create your own masterpiece of Circus art. During breaktime the kids can enjoy some Swiss Snacks and Drinks.
5:00 pm | Workshop Ends
The children will be escorted back to the entrance of the FIS Primary Building and the parents and/or caretakers can come to collect the children at the same place they have dropped them off.
