Crisp, Delicious and Uniquely Swiss!
(Age 6-12 years)
The Swiss School Committee is pleased to announce its upcoming workshop for Swiss Kids in Hong Kong. The topic is Swiss Apples. Come and learn more about the significance of apples in Switzerland! We will bake a Swiss Apple Tart together and have lots of fun. During the break, the children can enjoy Swiss snacks and drinks.
The workshop will be conducted by an experienced Swiss Teacher and takes place at GSIS in the Primary Building on the Peak. Any Swiss child aged 6-12 years can participate, regardless of which school they attend in Hong Kong.
Important notice for parents: Please note that nuts will be used during this workshop. Additionally, there will be a stage where the students will be using a knife to cut the apples. Rest assured, we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of all participants.
The Swiss School Committee is helping to subsidize this workshop. SAHK member kids can attend for free, while non-member kids will be charged HKD 200.-.
However, if you are a Non-Member and sign up for a SAHK annual membership (HKD 450.- per family and calendar year) your child/children can attend this workshop and the coming workshops for free.

Programme:
2:50pm | Meeting at GSIS Upper Building Entrance
A representative from the Swiss School Committee will welcome the children at the entrance and escort them to the respective classroom. Parents can drop off their children and enjoy some free time, or they can bring along something to read and enjoy a coffee in the meantime.
3:00pm | Workshop Starts
We bake an Apple Tart together and learn lots of interesting facts about Swiss Apples. During the break time the children will enjoy some tasty Swiss snacks and drinks. And the best part is yet to come - the children can take home a slice of the homemade apple tart!
5:00 pm | Workshop Ends
The children will be escorted back to the entrance of the GSIS Primary Building and the parents and/or caretakers can come to collect the children at the same place they have dropped them off.
