A Swiss Baking Delight Workshop
for Swiss Kids in Hong Kong
(Age 5-12 years)
The Swiss School Committee of Hong Kong is organizing in 2025 a series of workshops for Swiss Kids. The aim is to familiarize our children with Swiss traditions and to help them form new friendships or strengthen existing ones.
Bake your own "Zopf" is the first workshop in this series in 2025.
The workshop will be led by an experienced Swiss Teacher and takes place at GSIS in the Primary Building on the Peak. Any Swiss child aged 5-12 years can participate, regardless of which school they attend in Hong Kong.
The program guarantees a fun and educational experience in learning everything around baking a “Zopf”, along with the enjoyment of tasty Swiss snacks and drinks during the short break.
The Swiss School Committee is helping to subsidize this workshop. SAHK member kids can attend for free, while non-member kids will be charged HKD 250.-.
However, if you are a Non-Member and sign up for a SAHK annual membership (HKD 450.- per family and calendar year) your child/children can attend this workshop and the coming workshops for free.

Program:
2:50pm | Meeting at GSIS Upper Building Entrance
A representative from the Swiss School Committee will welcome the children at the entrance and escort them to the respective classroom. Parents can drop off their children and enjoy some free time. Kindly note that we will conduct the workshop without parents.
3:00pm | Workshop Starts
The children will learn more about this traditional Swiss delight bread and get busy working on their own Zopf. While the Zopf is baking to a golden brown in the oven, the children will enjoy a break with some tasty Swiss snacks and drinks and play some games.
5:00 pm | Workshop Ends
The children will be escorted back to the entrance of the GSIS Primary Building. We will take a “farewell picture” and the parents and/or caretakers can come to collect the children at the same place they have dropped them off.
