A fun afternoon for Swiss Kids in Hong Kong
(Age 6-12 years)
The Swiss School Committee of Hong Kong is excited to announce the launch of its second workshop for Swiss Kids in the 2024 series. The aim is to familiarize our children with Swiss traditions and to help them form new friendships or strengthen existing ones.
The workshop will be led by an experienced Swiss Teacher and takes place at GSIS in the Primary Building on the Peak. Any Swiss child aged 6-12 years can participate, regardless of which school they attend in Hong Kong.
The program guarantees a fun and educational experience for learning about Globi’s world. The children will create their own Globi clock using a canvas, where they will draw, colour, and assemble a real Swiss clockwork onto it. This activity requires good fine motor skills, which is why the minimum age is set at 6 years. During the break, the kids can enjoy Swiss snacks and drinks.
The Swiss School Committee is helping to subsidize this workshop. SAHK member kids can attend for free, while non-member kids will be charged HKD 200.-.
However, if you are a Non-Member and sign up for a SAHK annual membership (HKD 450.- per family and calendar year) your child/children can attend this workshop and the coming workshops for free.

Programme:
1.50 pm | Meeting at GSIS Upper Building Entrance
A representative from the Swiss School Committee will welcome the children at the entrance and escort them to the respective classroom. Parents can drop off their children and enjoy some free time, or they can bring along something to read and enjoy a coffee in the meantime.
2.00 pm | Workshop Starts
Who is Globi? The children will discover more about this unique Swiss cartoon character through a short introduction and story. Afterward, they will get busy with working on their canvas, using different tools to create their own Globi Clock. During the break time the children will enjoy some tasty Swiss snacks and drinks.
5.00 pm | Workshop Ends
The children will be escorted back to the entrance of the GSIS Primary Building and the parents and/or caretakers can come to collect the children at the same place they have dropped them off.
