Swiss Dragons:
Open Training & Beach Cleaning
After last year's very successful event, the Swiss Dragons are once again hosting an open training session for the community, and we want you to join us! This is your chance to meet the team and get out on the water with us. Get your (first) taste of the classic Hong Kong paddling fun and join us for a communal beach clean-up before heading to the Stanley promenade for some snacks and cold refreshing drinks.
Programme:
9.30 am - 10 am | Meeting at the beach
We will start the day a little bit earlier than normal to give you a "Paddling 101" lesson in the dry and to warm up with the team members before heading out to sea.
10 am - 11 am | Training start
Into the water we go for our one-hour training session. We will mix the team members and newcomers on the boats and head out to sea. Don't worry if you have never paddled before, we will make sure someone is there to help you. The main point is to have fun!
11 am - 11.40 am | Beach Cleaning
As a member of the volunteer group Green Dragons Hong Kong, we are making a conscious effort to paddle with sustainability in mind. As part of our commitment, we hold regular beach clean-ups with to goal of keeping our beaches and oceans clean. We thank the Swiss Association for their support and hope you will join our efforts.
11.45 am - 1 pm | Showers & Lunch
Make sure you bring a change of clothes as the day is not over after training! There are public showers available in Stanley and once everyone is freshened up, we will go to our partner restaurant in Stanley for some food and drinks. Get to know the team and other members of the community and enjoy some snacks on us!
