Christmas Wreath Workshop
Christmas is approaching and what is more festive than a Christmas wreath? The traditional Swiss Christmas wreath has four candles, one for each Sunday in December of the four weeks leading up to Christmas. Every Sunday evening the family will sit together, light a candle, and maybe sing a Christmas Carol. We will meet to create our Christmas wreaths on the first Advent Sunday, in time to be ready for the festive season.
Schedule:
1.30 PM I Meeting at Prinz Edward Metro Station Exit B1
We will head to the flower market, explore the shops and buy the greens for our wreaths. The basic pine needles are covered by the participation fee, you can, however, find additional greens, flowers and decorative pieces that you want to use for your wreath.
3PM I Bien Caramélisé
Once we have all the greens, we will head to Bien Caramélisé. Bien Caramélisé is a vegan bakery which offers a workshop space. There we will be treated by a vegan afternoon tea and a glass of bubbles, while creating our wreaths together.
What is included:
We will provide the base wreath, pine needles, some natural decorative materials, four candles, prosecco, and the afternoon tea. If you want additional greens or flowers, you can buy them at your own expense during our visit of the flower market. Upon sign up you will be added to a WhatsApp group where we will provide more information on the available materials and give you a better idea what you will need to source at the flower market yourself.
